Programs

Deafinity Media develops ASL-first programs that support Deaf children, families, youth, adults, seniors, and the wider community.

Our programs are built from Utah with the ability to grow into national models through partnerships, training, media production, and community collaboration.

Deaf Youth & Family ASL Access

Many Deaf children are born into hearing families. Families often need more access to American Sign Language, Deaf culture, visual learning, and Deaf role models.

Deafinity Media creates ASL-first media and learning tools to help families better understand and support Deaf children.

This work includes:

  • ASL-first video resources
  • Family education materials
  • Deaf role model stories
  • Visual learning tools
  • Early childhood language access support
  • School and community resources

Deaf Workforce & Creative Media Training

Deaf people often face barriers to employment, not because they lack ability, but because workplaces and training systems are not fully accessible.

Deafinity Media supports Deaf people through creative media training, job readiness, hands-on learning, and visual storytelling skills.

This work includes:

  • Film and video production training
  • Photography and visual storytelling
  • Interview and workplace preparation
  • Digital media skills
  • Deaf-led crew development
  • Employer education
  • Hands-on production experience

Deaf Elders & Seniors

Deaf seniors often experience isolation when communication access is missing. Many also carry powerful memories of Deaf schools, Deaf clubs, sign language suppression, family life, work, and community history.

Deafinity Media supports Deaf seniors by preserving their stories and creating ASL-accessible community resources.

This work includes:

  • Deaf elder interviews
  • ASL life stories
  • Senior community media
  • Caregiver communication support
  • Deaf history preservation
  • Community connection

Deaf History & Heritage

Deaf history is often not fully documented, especially in American Sign Language. Many elders, photographs, documents, and videos are at risk of being lost.

Deafinity Media works to preserve Deaf history before it disappears.

This work includes:

  • Deaf elders’ memories
  • Deaf school history
  • Black Deaf history
  • Indigenous Deaf history
  • American Sign Language history
  • Deaf President Now history
  • Deaf clubs and community life
  • Photographs, documents, and archival video

National Program Potential

Deafinity Media’s programs can be shared beyond Utah through partnerships with schools, Deaf organizations, museums, archives, employers, community groups, and national funders.

Our goal is to create strong Deaf-led models that can be used, adapted, and expanded across the United States.
